Piety and play in Versailles
Musicke in the Ayre return to Iford with a programme of sacred and secular works for up to 3 sopranos from the court of Louis XIV. Din Ghani will accompany Maria Danishvar, Philippa Neaverson and Jane Hunt on archlute and baroque guitar (both made by him), in music by some of the Sun King’s favourite composers, written for worship and for pleasure.
Garden visitors can listen to this 2pm concert at no extra charge.
